Visitors are welcome. Just turn up.
You don't need a partner for a supervised game,
but please call first if you want us to set you up with a partner for an intermediate
or open game.

Open: For players with some experience. You play about 27 boards.
Intermediate: Just like an open duplicate except you only play about 24 boards and there are no sharks!
Supervised: You play about 15 boards so you have time
to check your notes or ask the supervisor for an opinion.

All our duplicates are fun and friendly but the different games cater for players of different experience. You are free to choose any game or you can ask us for advice. The centre is always open at least one hour before play
and we serve great coffee, salads and sandwiches. You'll want to come early for the supervised sessions
– every supervised game includes a brief lesson, 20 minutes before the session starts.
Please tell us if both members of the partnership are going to
arrive late. With the latest systems we have in place, it is not
always possible to change the movement after play has started.
Getting to the Grand Slam:
The Grand Slam Bridge Centre is in the heart of the Double Bay shopping area. Entry is from New South Head Rd. There is free street parking after 6pm in Double Bay and all day
Sunday. There is a parking station at 3 Cross Street, near the corner of New South Head Rd. Bring the ticket for us to stamp and you will be charged a maximum of $8. There is free street parking in most places outside of the immediate Double Bay shopping area.
The bus stop is right outside the buiding, and the nearest train station is at Edgecliff, about one kilometre away (a couple of minutes by bus).
